Consider the following when you configure DHCP Server:
You must configure at least one DHCP subnet and a management CLIP IP interface before you enable DHCP Server.
If you deploy multiple VRFs, you must share DHCP pools across all VRFs.
You must configure local IP routing VLANs with relay configuration to be unique across all VRFs.
If you associate the VLAN to a different VRF than the management interface, configure inter-VRF routes or IS-IS accept policies so that DHCP requests can relay between VRFs.
You must configure DHCP Relay. Depending on the size of your network, you can configure the relay on the same switch that hosts DHCP Server or on a neighboring switch. In either case, configure the relay with forwarding paths that point to the management CLIP IP interface of the switch that hosts DHCP Server.
